A good manuscript always outshines in front of its audience — and your career as an author depends on the work you publish.
Getting a book published is every author's dream, but the hard work behind it is overwhelming. A manuscript can take months, sometimes years, to complete — and editing and proofreading are the most important steps between that draft and the printed page.
A manuscript is like a baby to an author, and you only hand it to someone you trust. Our editors treat it that way: every change is tracked, every suggestion is explained, and the final decision on every word stays with you.
From the broadest look at your book's structure to the last check for typos, every level of editing your manuscript could need.
The most complex form of editing. It looks at the broader implications of the book — from the plot to the structure — and shapes the whole.
Focuses on the details of your writing. Word choice and the flow of every paragraph are examined in depth.
The bridge between line editing and proofreading: grammatical errors, punctuation and spelling, with consistency in style and formatting.
The last step in the editing process — a thorough review of the entire manuscript so the final product is error-free, professional and polished.
An honest editorial read of your draft with clear priorities for revision, before any line-level work begins.
Alignment, font sizes, headings and spacing reviewed alongside the text, so the file you publish looks as good as it reads.
Let us take your book to the next level
We help bring your ideas to life in the form of a sedulously written, edited and published book. Tell us where your manuscript stands.
Three stages the reference editors never skip, split into the six steps you will actually see.
The editor reads the entire manuscript to understand its content, style and tone, and identifies which areas need extra attention.
You receive a recommendation — developmental, line, copy or proofread — matched to what the draft needs, with a fixed quote and timeline.
Every single line is worked through, with close attention to grammar, irrelevant sentences and anything that interrupts the reader.
Alignment, font size, headings and spacing are checked alongside the text, so the manuscript is consistent from cover to cover.
The most crucial part of the process: a last proofread in which no basic errors should remain. A green signal here means your manuscript is ready to publish.
You receive a Track Changes document and a clean copy, with revision rounds included so you can question any change.
Editing and proofreading cost something, but the perks that come with them cannot be denied — it is the biggest investment an author can make in their career.
You put your blood and sweat into a work with sentimental value, which makes hidden mistakes hard to see. A professional editor spots them easily.
Editing aligns your work so it engages the reader — an editor improves the flow of the text and makes it attractive to your audience.
An expert editor knows the words that suit each context, so your manuscript looks professional and appealing.
You know your book is with people who treat it with care, and who make sure it portrays you as a credible author.
The final result is free of errors and formatted properly, so it is ready for Amazon and every other platform.
Whether you are a newbie writer or a well-known author, professional editing services never go in vain.

A clear explanation of every change, so you learn as your book improves.
Plot, pacing, point of view and dialogue checked alongside the sentences.
Arguments that hold together, chapters in the right order and consistent terminology.
Your voice preserved while structure and clarity are strengthened.
Precise, consistent prose and references formatted to the required style.
A fresh pair of eyes on a new edition, a sequel or a backlist title.
A professional editor might cost you a bit, but it will always be worth it. Here is what each level of editing actually does for your book.
01 — Structure
Developmental editing looks at the broader implications of the book — plot, structure, chapter organization and the promise the book makes to its reader.
You receive an editorial assessment alongside the edit, so you understand not just what changed but why.
02 — Sentences
Line editing examines word choice and the flow of each paragraph in depth, making the text engaging without replacing your voice.
Repeated words, shifting tenses and clumsy sentences are smoothed out line by line.
03 — Correctness
Copyediting points out grammatical errors, punctuation and spelling while making sure there is consistency in style and formatting throughout.
A style sheet records every decision, so your series or next book stays consistent too.
04 — The last check
Proofreading is the one last chance to catch anything left behind. At this stage the editor should not find any basic errors.
The result is a professional, polished manuscript — the kind that enhances your work from structure to story flow.
Editing is priced by word count and by the depth of work your manuscript needs. Every tier is a fixed, one-time price with the inclusions spelled out in advance.

My experience with Kinetic Digital Publishers has been rewarding. This has especially been so with Dexter Mason, a unique talented individual who I feel is one of the many reasons this company has an A rating. He is passionate at what he does, customer focused and friendly. Hats off to Dexter!
